Moscow Mule Margarita Recipe - Perfect for a Summer BBQ! Balanced and Beautiful

There’s nothing more perfect than a crisp, cold cocktail on a warm summer night! This Moscow Mule Margarita is a summer BBQ favorite. It is so easy to make, tastes delicious, and looks so darn cute in those pretty Moscow Mule mugs. It’s so nice to find a drink recipe that pleases everyone and you know you can come back to time after time with amazing results. Now I love a classic Moscow Mule, but this Margarita version takes it up one notch. It is so refreshing and I just can’t resist that salted rim!

  • 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ginger beer
  • 1 1/2 oz tequila {I used Jose Cuervo Silver}
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • coarse salt for rim

To start, make the simple syrup by combining equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan. Warm the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.

Squeeze juice from limes, Make sure to buy extra limes to use as garnish.

Shake together all the ingredients {except ginger beer}. Rim glass with lime juice then dip in coarse salt. Fill with ice and pour shaker mixture over. Top off glass with ginger beer. Garnish with lime Enjoy!
