Nothing shouts spring like enjoying a beautiful, sunny evening outdoors. This past weekend Mary and I ventured over to the Orange Circle for a fun evening out. Living in Orange County, we are lucky enough to have some of the best hangout spots right in our backyard. One of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat at is the Filling Station. It is a converted gas station into the cutest coffeehouse/restaurant. While it’s our usual favorite for Sunday brunch, we decided to come for early evening drinks and appetizers. It’s located on a corner, so the patio is the perfect spot to sip on a sweet drink and people watch. I love spending time chatting and reminiscing with my sister. We always have the best time together. After we finished at the Filling Station, we strolled down the streets, window-shopping at some of the boutiques and antique shops along the way. It was definitely a lovely sisters’ night out.
A few of our other favorite spots around the circle are …
- à la minute – Hand crafted ice cream shop that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze your local, organic ice cream order right in front of your eyes. They have the most tasty, unique flavors that are sure to make your taste buds do cartwheels. Go give the Strawberry Balsamic and Salted Caramel flavors a try!
- Smoqued BBQ – The perfect spot for some good ole California BBQ. We definitely recommend starting off your meal with some Burnt Ends, they are AMAZING.
- Nectar – Women’s clothing store that specializes in clothes for the fashion forward Cali girl. So, clearly it’s one of our go-to spots when we are looking for some new pieces for our wardrobe. Some of our favorites in their shop now are this off-the-shoulder-top, this breezy maxi, this chambray dress, and this reversible tote.
- CocoRose Boutique – A little boutique exclusive to the orange circle. Their rows of clothes, jewelry, and little knick knacks always have us swooning.
